EverGreen POWERSOLUTIONS can design, install, and
maintain an alternative renewable energy source power system for
your home or business. The first step in the planning and installation
of an alternative power system is
to ensure the maximum conservation of energy possible in your home
or business.
The following list includes steps you can take to
improve energy conservation:
- Replace incandescent light bulbs with compact fluorescents,
saving up to 75% in electricity
- Replace T12 fluorescent tubes with T8 tubes with electronic
ballasts, saving up to 40% in electricity
- Use dimmers to decrease light output in areas with abundant
daylight available, saving up to 50% in electricity
- Install timers to switch lights off during closing hours
- Use motion sensors or photo sensors to control when lights are
turned on or off
- Replace standard exit signs with new energy efficient LED exit
signs
- Seal air leaks around doors and windows with weather stripping
